Students enjoying the peaceful campusThe University campus has a number of services and provisions for safety and security, healthcare, and family support for students on campus.

    Nursery

There is a Nursery that has the capacity to look after 47 children from 3 months to school age, and some accommodation is available for students or staff wishing to live on campus with a family.

    Health Centre

At the heart of campus there is a Health Centre. This has a General Practice service for those students living in the catchment area. An NHS practice, it offers free primary medical care for all students who are registered as patients there. Students who live on campus are encouraged to register with the practice when they arrive at Warwick, although they can register at any time provided they live in the catchment area and have at least three months left on their course. Students living off campus will need to register with a local NHS practice. There is also a pharmacy on campus: Dhaliwal Pharmacy is located next to the Students’ Union.

Security ServiceSecurity Staff and Police on Campus

The University provides a 24-hour Security Service that operates 365 days a year. Crime levels are extremely low on campus and the security service is there to ensure that this remains that way. They provide an emergency line with high priority access to the emergency services and all measures taken by Warwick security are done so to guarantee the safest environment possible for Warwick students. The Security Office also advises students on how to prevent crime themselves. Residential and main campus areas are extremely well-lit and a number of emergency call points are scattered across campus.

    Shuttle Bus

A free night-time shuttle bus service operates in term time and throughout some vacations. It is intended to transport students across campus to key stop off points and halls of residence if they feel vulnerable or do not wish to walk alone. Out of operating hours, an escort can be provided if requested.

Next, we will pay a visit to the Chaplaincy.
