The Student Development and Support centre is designed to help students fulfil their potential, providing guidance tailored to individual student needs. Life at university can involve a multitude of decisions and uncertainties, whether financial, emotional or career-driven, and students need all the support they can get.

Student Funding Office

Money is a particularly important concern for students. Warwick's Student Funding Office offers advice and help with money issues, and works with individual students to find solutions to money problems.

Unitemps

Unitemps is the University’s temporary staff agency. Tailored to the needs of university students, they provide a way for students to gain brownie points for their CV as well as some handy extra cash. The Unitemps service offers excellent pay rates and flexible working hours to fit into the typical demands of a student’s schedule. The work available varies from one-day secretarial support or kitchen porter jobs, to significantly longer-term projects, such as website development and clerical assistance.

Student Support Services

Many of the Student Support Services are also based in the same area including:

• Senior Tutor’s Office
• Disability Services
• University Mental Health Coordinators.

The Senior Tutor’s Office offers advice about accommodation, study skills and academic issues, as well as financial difficulties, personal conflicts, academic appeals, harassment and disciplinary charges. There is also a disability co-ordinator to advise students on matters such as support for study, appropriate accommodation, and other issues related to accessibility.

The University Counselling Service can be found on Westwood Campus, offering support services to all Warwick students who may be facing difficult issues or just need someone to talk to. This qualified team deals with personal, psychological and emotional issues on a one-to-one basis or in support groups. Student Careers and Skills Centre

Your time at University is about preparing for the future. The award-winning Student Careers and Skills Centre supports students in managing their career at every stage. They will help you with anything career-related, from developing career management skills, to finding work experience, preparing for interviews and assessment centres, exploring further study options, and finding gap year opportunities.

Students’ Union

The Students' Union runs Advice and Welfare services too, offering help and guidance on a range of issues including accommodation, health, academic concerns, equal opportunities issues, and nightline, an independent and confidential night-time helpline.
