Summer 2016 Holiday Scheme

The Children Services holiday scheme programme has been created with the help of educationalists to answer a real need in the University community and beyond.

An inspiring range of educational, cultural and sporting activities are on offer to challenge, entertain and enthuse 5-14 year olds using the fantastic resources available on campus; developing the children's knowledge and skills while enabling them to make friends and have plenty of fun.

Tennis camps

25 July - 2 September

For two hours, kids will be taking part in multi-sport activities, including tennis, mini tennis, table tennis, badminton, touch tennis, football, and unihoc. Open to children 5 years and upwards, all abilities are welcome to come and have a go.

Climbing camps

25 July - 2 September

Making the most of our excellent climbing facilities in the Sports Centre, the holiday climbing club offers children over the age of 8 the chance to learn to climb and enjoy exciting games and activities.

Make It Reel Summer Film School 2016

Mon 1 – Fri 5 Aug 2016 10am – 4pm

Recommended Age: 12-15

Here’s your challenge: you have five days to make a five minute film and show it to your friends and family. Your film will be devised, storyboarded, scripted, rehearsed, shot, edited, sound tracked, mixed, mastered and premiered in our Cinema – all in a week!!

Led by local film makers Dom Breadmore and Jon Randle you’ll work hard as part of a team, but have a guaranteed good time.

Highly Sprung Space Academy performance summer school

Recommended Age: Age 8 – 12

After last year’s mega-exciting circus school, Highly Sprung are back and ready to launch you into space. Combining movement, drama, puppetry and performance making, you’ll train as an astronaut before launching off on a space mission to an undiscovered universe.
