1. Warwick Volunteers Certificate
On completion of 25, 50 or 100 hours of volunteering with Warwick Volunteers you can receive a WV certificate. Only hours accrued this academic year will count. You can also include training and travel time (for the project you have volunteered for).
You can download the Warwick Volunteers Volunteering Log, fill in your volunteering hours and then bring it to the WV office or email it in to us at volunteers@warwick.ac.uk by 13:00 Friday 25th May 2012.
2. Research into our members experience of Volunteering
Warwick Volunteers are working with the Sociology Department to undertake research into our members experience of Volunteering. Funded by the Undergraduate Research Scholarship Scheme and supported by Warwick Volunteers, research will be conducted on connections between volunteering and employability.
As a member of Warwick Volunteers you are invited to take part. You will be asked to spend a maximum of 30 minutes sharing your ideas and volunteering, and can choose to do by whichever form of communication is most convenient. All ideas you share will be kept anonymous and strictly confidential.
I know this is the busiest time of the year but if you fancy a unique revision break and you are willing to get involved, contact Barbora directly B.Adlerova@warwick.ac.uk
3. History Gallery Live Guide
Do you have a passion for Coventry's history?
Do you enjoy engaging in conversation with the public?
Would you like the challenge of researching and presenting a short, informal talk?
If you are interested in an opportunity to engage with interesting people and gain experience in a local museum, they are planning an induction event to recruit volunteers who are interested in researching a handful of the exhibits so that they can talk confidently, knowledgeably and in an accessible way to visitors to the gallery.
Initially this role will be for one month only with the possibility of volunteering for a longer duration for those who are interested.
If you are interested please email Rupert.Hedley@theherbert/org directly as this is an external project organised by Herbert Art Gallery
4. Spanish Language Revision Sessions – Volunteers Required
The Westwood Academy are planning to run exam revisions sessions for their students on the following dates and would really like some extra support from volunteers.
SPANISH – Monday 21st May and Friday 25th May 9am – 1pm.
The volunteers are required to work with pupils in groups and one to one to support them with their revision. You won’t be required to lead the session.
If you are free on any of these dates and are interested in supporting the sessions please email sarah.newell@volunteers.warwick.ac.uk stating which date you are available.
5. Spanish Speaking Volunteer Required
