The University of Warwick recycling facilities are to be used by staff and students of the University for the disposal of recyclable materials on campus. Recyclable materials from home are the responsibility of the relevant local authority. Please help us in our efforts not to contravene waste management legislation.
Ebiyon Idundun (x50548) is the University's Waste & Recycling Officer and is more than happy to answer any of your queries in relation to waste management and recycling provision across the University.

These initiatives are currently reducing the amount of general waste the University produces. Other general waste is transported to the
Coventry City Council Waste To Energy Incinerator, where electricity is produced and some recycling of bottom ash and filtered materials undertaken. There is therefore some environmental benefit compared to the waste going to landfill.

WarwickSwap is an exclusive internal reuse network for redistribution of surplus items from departments across the University.
The University policy on waste disposal is set out in Safety in the University Part 23. Copies can be obtained from the Safety Office or downloaded from the Safety Office website as .pdf (acrobat) documents.
