SHORT-TERM INCENTIVE FOR CYCLISTS TO REGISTER THEIR BIKE DETAILS AND ACCESS SHOWER FACILITIES

  • During 2010-11, cyclists that needed to use shower facilities on campus were able to benefit from an incentive to join the Bicycle User Group and register their bike details. Visit the BUG page for further details.

 

TEST DRIVE AN ELECTRIC-POWERED SCOOTER TODAY

  • Over recent years, the University has succeeded in incorporating alternative two-wheeled forms of transport into its fleet. These are available for test drive and currently include power-assisted electric bicycles and electric scooters/motorbikes. [More ...]

 

STUDENT CAR SHARE LAUNCHED

  • Take a Mate, the name for Warwick’s dedicated student car share scheme, was formally launched in January 2010.
  • All Warwick students are eligible to participate in the scheme, so please register your details.

 

TRANSPORT STRATEGY GROUP

  • In response to the challenges imposed by the University Travel Plan, a Transport Strategy Group was formed during 2009.
  • The group met several times towards the end of 2009 and reported to Senior Officers early in 2010.

 

WARWICKSHARE CAR SHARING INITIATIVE

  • With our desire to reduce single-occupancy car journeys (and consequently our indirect atmospheric emissions), the University is delighted at the initial success of its car sharing initiative - Warwickshare.
  • With over 430 members and 201 car sharing, the initiative has saved over 396,000 car miles, equating to approximately 130 tonnes of CO2.
  • The scheme is open to all staff members for journeys to, from and within the various sites that the University occupies.
  • Please look at the scheme details and participate wherever possible.
