Warwick: Towards 2015

[c]

We have articulated a strategy for Warwick that is bold and ambitious, that will generate commitment, flair and energy – qualities which we already have here in abundance. Yet this strategy is not restrictive. The Warwick Medical School is on course to expand its research profile in medicine and clinical sciences and transform health care in the south of our region; the Digital Laboratory will further enhance Warwick’s reputation for technology transfer and engagement with industry and the public sector; Birmingham Science City, through our collaborations with the University of Birmingham, is enabling us to build capacity in research in the areas of energy, translational medicine and advanced materials.

We fully expect that in the next decade the University will create other more innovative projects and seize opportunities as they present themselves. This has always been, and will continue to be, the Warwick way. We do not, therefore, expect our future activities simply to be confined to those described in this strategy document. Nevertheless, underpinning all such future activities, as it underpins this strategy, is a constant aim: to make Warwick an acknowledged centre of international higher education – an undisputed world leader in research and scholarship.
