Re-opening of Modern Records Centre
Friends and supporters of the Modern Records Centre are invited to attend a very special event to celebrate the re-opening of the newly remodelled Modern Records Centre.

The Modern Records Centre at Warwick is a leading archive for labour and industrial relations material in the UK and holds the organisational records of over 80% of British trade unions and numerous social reform and political interest groups, as well as those of management and arbitration organisations. There are over 13kms of material currently in the Centre and the new facilities will make these records more accessible to everyone.
- Date: Tuesday 1st November 2011
- 4.00pm: Guest discussion, Warwick Arts Centre
The re-opening will take place on Tuesday 1st November at 4.00pm and will begin with a discussion between The Right Honourable Tony Benn and Sir Richard Lambert, Chancellor of the University of Warwick, on the Winter of Discontent 1978-9 and the possibility of an Autumn of Discontent 2011. The discussion will be chaired by Rodney Bickerstaffe, former General Secretary of Unison.
