How Much is Enough? The Economics of the Good Life
Public lecture at the University of Warwick
Tuesday 1st February 2011, 6pm
Lord Skidelsky, Emeritus Professor of Political Economy at the University of Warwick and award-winning biographer of economist John Maynard Keynes, returns to the University to give a public lecture entitled How Much is Enough? The Economics of the Good Life on Tuesday 1st February 2011 at 6pm
How Much is Enough? will contribute to a burgeoning debate on the value of wealth prompted by the economic downturn. Lord Skidelsky will argue that wealth is not an end in itself but a means to the achievement and maintenance of a ‘good life’ and that our economy should be organised to reflect this fact.
Spaces for this event will be limited so please book your place early by registering online.
Lord Skidelsky will be joined for this talk by his son Dr Edward Skidelsky from the University of Exeter. It will take place at 6pm in the Ramphal Lecture Theatre.
