These pages were created whilst completing my doctorate, and contain information about my research, publications and conference papers, teaching experience, and professional development. I completed a BA in History at the University of Warwick in 2001. After three years working I returned to academic life in 2004 to complete an MA in Religious and Social History c.1500-1700. The title of my Masters dissertation was 'Heavenly Beings in English Religious Cultures: John Salkeld and A Treatise of Angels', and was an initial foray into the area that was to become the focus of my research. I submitted my thesis at the beginning of 2009, and successfully passed my viva in March 2009. I held an Early Career Fellowship at the Institute of Advanced Studies in 2009, and was a Seminar Tutor and IT Assistant in the history department at Warwick 2009-10. I have recently been appointed to a two-year Teaching Fellowship at the University of Exeter (August 2010).
A Little Neck. Last Autumn I completed some research for an innovative, site specific, immersive theatrical event, running at Hampton Court Palace in September. The event was created by Goat and Monkey Theatre, who ran amock in the corridors, kitchens and cellars of the palace whilst exploring the story of the last days of Anne Boleyn.
