How to apply
Please read everything on this page carefully then adhere to all the instructions givenIMPORTANT: APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2012-13 PROGRAMME CLOSED ON 30 APRIL 2012. WE ARE THEREFORE ACCEPTING NO FURTHER APPLICATIONS. DETAILS FOR 2013-14 WILL BE UPLOADED IN DUE COURSE Online application: The best way to apply is online via the University of Warwick, the coordinating institution for the Consortium. Please click-on the following link on-line application form to access the online portal. To register your application and gain access to the form, you should enter a valid email and an easily remembered password. Make sure that you choose the correct course code: P-W4PA. If you are unable to apply on-line, you can send in a paper application. You need to request the application form from the University of Warwick's Student Recruitment department, via student.recruitment@warwick.ac.uk
. If you choose this option, it is your responsibility to make sure that the completed application form and all the required support documents are sent to Postgraduate Admissions in enough time to arrive by the relevant MAIPR deadline. You must also include the application fee (see below).Application fee: Warwick's Postgraduate Admissions levy a non-refundable application handling fee for all taught postgraduate courses, including the MAIPR. For an online application it is £35; for a paper application it is £60. YOU MUST PAY THIS FEE. If you do not, your application will not be forwarded to us for consideration. We therefore strongly advise that you pay the fee at the same time as your application, otherwise the Department of Theatre and Performance Studies will be unable to consider you for the course or for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship. The fee may be paid on-line by credit or debit card, or through the post by a Banker's Draft made out to 'The University of Warwick'. If you do not have a credit or debit card, ask someone else to pay on your behalf, for example a parent or partner.
NOTE: All students must apply for the programme through the University of Warwick; you are unable to apply through the Universities of Amsterdam, Arts in Belgrade or Helsinki. However, while the application form is geared towards the University of Warwick, you are applying to all of the partner institutions when you submit the form.
Your application for the 2012-13 MAIPR programme itself must have been submitted on-line or been received by the Postgraduate Admissions Office by the following date:
Erasmus Mundus scholarship entrants should pay the application fee promptly. If you do not pay by the set deadline, the MAIPR consortium will be unable to consider you for a scholarship.
Supporting documentation: what we need from you!You need to back-up your application with supporting documentation (see MAIPR Application: what we need from you!) The best way to supply this quickly is by using the supporting document upload facility. You will be given directions by email on how to do this once you have submitted and paid for your application. VERY IMPORTANT: To be entered into the 2012-13 Erasmus Mundus scholarship competitions, ALL of your support documentation, including both references, must have been received by the MAIPR consortium on or by 3rd January 2012. If your application is incomplete on that date, regretably we will be unable to put you into the EM scholarship competition. You must therefore contact both your referees in enough time to allow them to prepare their references so they can be received by the deadline. You should also allow plenty of time to obtain your transcripts and/or degree certificates, especially if you need to get them translated into English by an official translation service. If you are offered a place on the MAIPR programme, to make your offer unconditional, send the originals or officially attested copies of your support documentation through the post to the following address: Postgraduate Team 6
The Postgraduate Admissions Team
Student Admissions and Recruitment Office
The University of Warwick
COVENTRY CV4 8UW
England
Photocopies of the aforementioned documents, either posted to us or sent by email, unfortunately cannot be accepted for an unconditional offer.
ST1 assignments (autumn 2012)If selected, you will start the course at either the University of Amsterdam or the University of Helsinki. The MAIPR consortium will decide where you are assigned based on internal programmatic factors. Where possible, the partners will take your preferences into consideration but may not be able to honour them. All decisions on assignments are final and non-negotiable. NOTE TO THOSE NEEDING A NETHERLANDS VISA: you are required to enrol at the University of Amsterdam on or by the 15th June of each year. To do this you must have unconditional status with the University of Warwick. If you still have a conditional offer on or by 15th June, you will not be able to start the programme at Amsterdam on the 3rd September. NOTE TO THOSE NEEDING A FINNISH VISA: more information forthcoming. Assessment Criteria An admissions committee made up of staff from the three partner institutions will consider your materials using the following criteria:
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Although you may apply for the MAIPR programme at any time until the relevant deadlines, because of the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship competition, all eligible scholarship applicants have to be considered at the same time. Such applicants will be assessed towards the end of January 2012 and you should be informed of the provisional outcome in regards to both the MAIPR programme itself and the EM Scholarship Competitions during February 2012. Please bear in mind that you may be offered a place on the MAIPR programme but not an EM scholarship. All Erasmus Mundus programmes, including the MAIPR, are required to adhere to EACEA rulings concerning geographic distribution and gender equity. This is an EACEA directive and therefore out of the control of the MAIPR consortium. For more information on general University of Warwick Admission Requirements, including language competency for the MAIPR programme, please click on the following link: http://www2.warwick.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/apply/. Please note that these are generalised University of Warwick requirements, some of which may not apply to the MAIPR. IMPORTANT You can apply for up to three Erasmus Mundus programmes only.
