Indo-Caribbean Studies Association

The Indo-Caribbean Studies Association (ICSA) exists to promote scholarship and publications on the history and culture of people of Indian origin in the Caribbean, and their cross-cultural relationships with other communities in the region.

The Association fosters a spirit of communication, debate and collaboration among scholars. It encourages the growth of interdisciplinary and cross-cultural research. To this end, it intends to host a programme of seminars, conferences and symposia that will provide a global forum for the exchange and dissemination of knowledge and ideas.

Whilst focusing primarily on Indo-Caribbean Studies, the Association welcomes membership from students, scholars, artists, writers, publishers, and professionals with an interest in all fields of Diaspora Studies, particularly Amerindian/ African-American/ Caribbean histories and cultures.
