    Epic & Epyllion - Organisation

There are two meetings timetabled for each week of term (apart from Reading Week — Wk 6):

    Tuesdays 1-2pm in Room H.4.45

    Thursdays 12-1pm in Room H.5.45

Generally the first meeting each week will be a lecture introducing new material; the second meeting will usually have a class/seminar format with topics discussed in the light of reading and questions distributed beforehand. However this basic scheme will vary occasionally, according to the nature of topics presented.

For a subject of this range, not all the material can be presented in lectures and classes. Students should therefore expect to do the prescribed reading and to have thought sufficiently about the issues to make constructive oral contributions.
