    Greek Language (Beginners')

    CX 105

This module aims to introduce students who have not previously studied Classical Greek to the main elements of the structure of Greek in a logical and systematic way and so enable them to read and translate passages of adapted Greek with growing ease and confidence.

It is not necessary to have studied Latin previously, but those who have done so tend to find the earlier stages a little easier.

This module runs every year and there are two parallel classes this year.

Office Hours: Wednesday 11-12, Thursday 12-1

    Assessments

There are four during the year, accounting for 10% of the module. The Module handbook details the point we will have reached for each assessment.

    Two reminders:

    • If you are ill, you need to provide a medical note from your GP confirming that you were unfit to sit the exam.
    • You need your university card.
