Assessment will as usual be through 2 x 2500 word assessed essays and a 2 hour exam. There will also be a short practice essay in the first term which will improve your essay writing skills and give you further material for the exam.

The deadline for the first essay is 12 noon on 29 November 2010; and for the second 12 noon on 28 February 2011.

Note that failure to adhere to essay deadlines without an extension will be penalized by 5% each day the essay is late. Essay deadline extensions can only be granted by Alison (Director of Undergraduate Studies) or James (Head of Department). Last minute approaches by email will not be looked on favourably.
