Carlos Gamerro was born in Buenos Aires in 1962. He graduated in Arts from the University of Buenos Aires, where he served as a professor until 2002. He is a novelist, critic, and translator. In 2007 was Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge and in 2008 participated the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa. in 2011 it premiered at the Teatro Alvear in Buenos Aires his play the Islands, directed by Alejandro Tantanian. He was co-author of the catalog of the 11th International Biennial of Lyon (2011). In 2012 he participated in the International Congress of Writers of Edinburgh.
