Warwick has been ranked first of all Film and Television Studies departments in the country in the 2014 REF results.

The Department of Film and Television Studies has once again been ranked first of all Film and Television Studies departments in the country according to the results of the 2014 REF (Research Excellence Framework). In a joint submission with the School of Theatre, Performance and Cultural Policy Studies, 48% of research publications were awarded a 4* rating (‘world leading’) and 43% were given a 3* rating (‘internationally excellent’). The two Warwick departments also came 4th out of 84 for the quality of their research environment reinforcing the University’s global reputation as a centre of excellence for these related fields. Film and Television was part of the University’s joint submission to the Music, Drama, Dance and Performing Arts Panel that embraces the disciplines of Film, Television, Theatre, Drama, and Music Studies.
