Visiting scholar - Associate Professor Jason Jacobs

In March 2009, Jason Jacobs, Associate Professor in Film and Television Studies at the University of Queensland, visited the department. He participated in events at the University of Warwick and the University of Glasgow to mark the 50th anniversary of the British journal Screen.

Dr Jacobs is one of the most influential scholars working in the field of television studies today. His books include Body Trauma TV: The New Hospital Dramas (London: British Film Institute, 2003) and The Intimate Screen: Early British Television Drama (Oxford: Oxford University Press, 2000).
