CHM student Katey Logan wins the 2017 Burnby Memorial Bursary

CHM PhD student Katey Logan has won the 2017 Burnby Memorial Bursary. It is awarded annually by the British Society for the History of Pharmacy for original research in this field.

In addition to the £500 prize money, Katey is to present a short paper at the Society’s 50th Anniversary conference in April this year. Her presentation, “Hearing the voices of Boots pharmacists: an investigation of identity 1930-2000”, will draw on her nascent research into Boots the Chemists pharmacists - their unique identity as corporate community pharmacists, working within and outwith the NHS.
