The Future of Fashion Studies
Institute of Advanced Study, University of WarwickThursday 30 April 2009This RDF-funded meeting organized by Stella Bruzzi (Film Studies) and Giorgio Riello (History) is designed to discuss the methodologies and research agendas of the growing area of Fashion Studies and possible future opportunities for collaboration.Over the last decade Fashion Studies has emerged as an interdisciplinary field of research. It integrates history, film and theatre studies, cultural studies, business studies, curatorship, and sociology and other disciplines within the humanities and social sciences. Notwithstanding its interdisciplinarity, the study of fashion as an academic subject remains weak, particularly in universities. Advert
