We have developed the 'Unknown Objects' series as a space where we can ask for your help to find out more about specific persons, places and things about which we (and even the experts who study them) know very little. We hope that the series will enable us to find new information and new leads. For each 'object' we will list what is currently known and what we would like to find out. If you have any answers to our questions we are eager for you to get in touch. If after seeing the object you also have a question you would like to pose about it, let us know and we will add it to the list. Moreover, if you have an Unknown Object, which is connected to the aims of the project, do let us know and we can feature it here. Eventually we hope that these 'Unknown Objects' will become 'Known Objects' and will be used in The East India Company at Home, 1757-1857 project.
