Wednesday 16th October. Elizabeth L'Estrange (Birmingham) on ‘Re-Presenting Emilia for a Queen: Text and Image in Anne de Graville’s Beau Roman’. (Joint with Medieval Seminar).
Friday 1st November. Medieval to Renaissance Lunch ~ this will include a short presentation by David Lines (Italian) on what the AHRC project 'Vernacular Aristotelianism in Renaissance Italy' has achieved since Oct. 2010. The lunch will be followed by a workshop focusing on vernacular philosophy in medieval and Renaissance Italy. The format will consist of papers (in both English and Italian) and of discussion (also in both languages), as contributors, project members and others consider the accomplishments of the 'Vernacular Aristotelianism' project and its way forward into the future. Lunch is from 12.30-2pm in the Graduate Space, 4th Floor Annexe, Humanities Building. RSVP if possible (renaissance@warwick.ac.uk)

Sara Miglietti (Centre for the Study of the Renaissance) on 'Making places, making men: governmental uses of environmental influence in the early modern period' and Naomi Pullin (History) on 'Domesticating dissent: the social worlds of Quaker women within a transatlantic community, 1650-1750'.
