Warwick Creative Exchange - Time to Connect!

The Warwick Creative Exchange site features an online database which allows members to list their interests and future projects. The database is free to join and provides an online brokering service connecting academics and member cultural organisations. New members are welcome – just click on the online registration form to get started. There’s also information about future events and past projects

The Warwick Creative Exchange Building Partnerships Workshop will take place at the Helen Martin Studio, Warwick Arts Centre on 5th February from 1.30 – 5.30. At the event you will find out about successful collaborative projects from the Cheltenham Festival, China Plate and the Happenstance Project, explore the funding options and work on new collaborative projects of your own. At the end of the workshop we will invite the most promising projects to bid for two development grants of £1000 each to work towards a viable funding bid.

Warwick Creative Exchange is a joint venture between Centre for Cultural Policy Studies, Warwick Manufacturing Group and Warwick Business School. Further events are planned through 2014. The Exchange is also working closely with members of the Warwick Commission on Cultural Value – indeed the Commission came about partly as a result of early discussions among members, looking for new ways of defining cultural value and new approaches to evaluation in the arts.

In the words of Pearl Chesterman at Birmingham Royal Ballet, one of the network’s founding members, Warwick Creative Exchange combines ‘the curiosity of academia together with the creativity of the arts’ to create exciting new projects and connections. Join us online, follows us on Twitter, or come to the partnerships workshop to find out more!
