OPTIONS 2017-8

We will be holding Options Meetings to talk about the options open to you next year and the process by which you select them. The times of the meetings are as follows:

Friday 10th March 2017 (Week 9) G55
12.30 - 13.30 - Current 2nd Years
13.30 - 14.40 - Current 1st Years

[Please note we have made arrangements with Theatre classes that span this time so you will be able to attend. We cannot rearrange the timetable of other departments but if you are free please come]

2nd Year

Year 2 - 120 CATS
Single Honours Students take modules totalling 120 CATS (which may include 30 CATS from other departments - external modules)
Joint Students take modules totalling 30 CATS (and may opt to take a further 30 CATS in the department as external module(s))
External Students may take some modules subject to approval and availability - please contact Tim White in the Summer Term

Students may elect to take one or more IATL interdisciplinary modules as an option, or options, subject to the approval of their Chair of the Department. These modules address topics that are amenable to cross-faculty study, and are designed to enrich single disciplinary approaches.

"In terms of student registration, interested students would still need to register with IATL using our on-line registration form but we will add a note to say that they don’t need to complete the departmental approval part as you will be dealing with that. When you send over your list of approved registrations I can check them off against what I have. I think that should work ok."
