The TRC, a suite of study and resources rooms located on two floors in the Humanities Building, was launched in autumn 2007 by the French, German and Italian Departments. The TRC's aim is to support staff and students in critical and creative engagement with audio-visual and electronic media in a multilingual setting. With wireless access throughout, a multi-language DVD Library, and networked digital satellite TV, the TRC situates its users at the heart of transnational and global communications networks, and offers a multilingual space for the exploration and analysis of cultural texts, including film, television, and electronic media. Comprising a Resources Room, Group Study Room, Cinema Room, DVD Library and Video Edit Suites, the TRC provides study environments ranging from formal presentation rooms, to informal lounge space for film viewing, private study or group discussion.
The TRC is open to all staff and students registered in the Modern Languages Departments (French, German and Italian) at Warwick.
