GRANTS FOR INDEPENDENT RESEARCH IN VENICE AND THE VENETO
Applications should be type-written. (PLEASE RESPOND CAREFULLY IN EACH CATEGORY) a project proposal (not exceeding 1,000 words) which explains the significance of your project and includes: a. a detailed research plan, citing library and archival sources where possible; b. an estimate of the time needed with respect to the project's method and/or goals; c. an overall budget in which the amount requested should be related to (a) and (b). d. a summary of previous work done by the candidate; and e. a description of the relationship of the proposed project to previous work done by others in the field, with relevant bibliography 2. a curriculum vitae, including degrees, awards, publications, and professional experience. 3. a statement of proficiency in the necessary languages. 4. a confidential statement of other grant applications made. 5. the names, titles, and addresses of three professional references that the applicant has asked to write letters in support of the project. 6. (optional) a self-addressed, stamped postcard, should applicant desire notification of receipt of application. Applicants should familiarize themselves with the guidelines, restrictions, and eligibility requirements listed in the programme announcement. Applications must be received by the Foundation by Friday 11th May 2012. Applications via fax or e-mail are not accepted. All submissions are final. Applicants are responsible for soliciting the three letters of recommendation to be sent directly to the Foundation by the referees. The awards will be announced by early summer 2012. Applicants are required to notify the Foundation immediately upon receipt of any other grant. Any person who has accepted three or more Delmas grants for Venetian research (regardless of amount or timing) will be ineligible for consideration for two programme years after the last grant. Thereafter, a two-year hiatus continues to be required after each subsequent grant.
