Warwick Enterprise Pathway Programme

The Warwick Enterprise Pathway Programme is our 6-week course to help you create and develop a service, product, or solution that is innovative, viable, and scalable. This could be a commercial start-up, charity, social enterprise, society or community project, the choice is yours! You don’t need an idea to join, just passion and interest.

What will I get out of the course?

By the end of the course, you will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to identify problems, generate multiple solutions, and turn those solutions into viable spinouts that you can pitch to a variety of stakeholders. You'll also have the opportunity to develop a feasible and innovative concept, that you can seek funding to develop into a reality. At the end of the programme, you’ll have an opportunity to pitch for a Lord Rootes award of up to £3,000 to prototype and pilot your idea.

How will I be supported?

There are 6 in-person sessions that will guide you through the process of turning an idea into a reality. Slides, handouts, further resources, and 1:1s will be available on StartiumLink opens in a new window after each session.

What will I learn?

Over the course of the six week programme we will explore:

How to identify your skills, passions, and networks of support.
Measuring impact and project planning.
Identifying and understanding a problem and its scope.
Rapid ideation and prototyping.
Financial planning and forecasting.
Pitching and telling stories that stick.

The programme is suitable for any student at any level of study with no prior knowledge or experience needed!

Registration is free and available to all University of Warwick students. You must have registered on our Innovation network on this page

Once you have registered on our Innovation Network, go to the Opportunities tab at the top of Startium and choose the Warwick Enterprise Pathway Programme option. From there you will be able to register for the course.
