The University of Warwick is uniquely well-placed to provide this MSc degree programme. It is run jointly by the Mathematics Institute, the Departments of Statistics and Economics and the Business School, a combination which gives the programme its distinctive character.

Warwick is rated among the very top in the UK. The latest survey of The Sunday Times Good University Guide placed it in the top 5 out of the 123 universities.

  • Ranked 5th in the UK Funding Councils' 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.
  • The student population has grown to 16,646, including more than 7,009 postgraduates and over 4,348 international undergraduate and postgraduate students.
  • Each of the departments involved:- Mathematics, Statistics, Business School and Economics, was awarded the highest rating (5*A or 5A) for research of national and international excellence in the 2001 (last) Research Assessment Exercise.
  • In addition to the Accounting and Finance Group, the Business School houses the Financial Options Research Centre (FORC). FORC is one of the leading centres for research on financial instruments and markets. Within the Statistics Department, the Warwick Risk Initiative provides an active research consultancy with leading financial institutions - some of whom are corporate members.

This degree Programme started in 1998/99 and is running alongside the other highly successful MSc's in Finance and Economics.
