What are the entry requirements
The programme is aimed at students with a strong academic background - either a bachelor's degree from a British university (i.e. first class, good 2.1) or equivalent from an overseas university - in mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering or other subjects with substantial mathematical content.

Deposit
Please note that you are required to make a deposit of £1000 to be received by the University of Warwick within six weeks of the date of being accepted on the programme, to secure your place on the programme for the year 2011/2012. If your deposit is not received within these six weeks we shall assume that you will not be taking up your offer. Please note that this deposit cannot be refunded (except for medical reasons). If you request to defer your place and this request is granted, your deposit can also be deferred.
The deposit of £1000 is set against the tuition fees for the 2011/2012 programme.
I have a conditional offer
Many students hold conditional offers, requiring you to attend a language course, or complete your BSc (or equivalent) degree, or prepare yourself in some other way for the MSc. Do not worry about these conditions. If you do what we ask you to do, the offer will automatically be made unconditional.
When do I apply?
All graduate courses begin at the start of the academic year in October and the majority of places are allocated by July. There is no formal deadline for applications but you are strongly advised to apply as early as possible for this programme because demand for places is high.
International applicants
The University welcomes applications from students from other countries, but needs to be sure that any student can cope with the language requirements of the programme. If you do not hold (and are not taking) a degree from a UK university and your first language is not English you should also supply evidence of language proficiency. Candidates will normally be expected to have obtained one of the following recognised English Language qualifications: British Council International Testing System (IELTS) with a score of at least 7.0; Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) test score of at least 620 (paper-based), 260 (computer-based), or 105 (internet-based).
