Kate Karban’s is keen to build on her commitment to addressing mental health issues with an emphasis on social perspectives and issues of inequality and oppression, including the impact of discrimination on health inequalities for LGB communities. Since moving to Bradford University, her work with Leeds Metropolitan University health promotion colleagues on a DeLPHE project to support capacity building in mental health education in Zambia continues. This project has extended her interest in global health inequalities alongside a concern to connect national and international issues in social work. |
