All members of staff, students, honorary graduates, honorary professors, emeritus professors and readers at Warwick were invited to nominate a work to receive the prize. The deadline for making nominations for the 2011 Warwick Prize for Writing has now passed. |
What is eligible?
To be eligible for the 2011 Warwick Prize for Writing works must:

have been published in English for the first time anywhere in the world between 1 May 2008 and 30 April 2010 |
![]() |
be authored by someone other than a current member of Warwick staff, a current student, an honorary professor, an emeritus professor or reader |
![]() |
be written in English (though it could be a translation from another language) |
![]() |
be written by an author who is still living |
The Warwick Prize for Writing is awarded for:
"an international cross-disciplinary award, worth £50,000, which will be given every two years for an excellent and substantial piece of writing in the English language, in any genre or form, on a theme that will change with every award."
