    Nominations

    All members of staff, students, honorary graduates, honorary professors, emeritus professors and readers at Warwick were invited to nominate a work to receive the prize.

    The deadline for making nominations for the 2011 Warwick Prize for Writing has now passed.

     

    What is eligible?

    To be eligible for the 2011 Warwick Prize for Writing works must:

    yellow-bullet.gif have been published in English for the first time anywhere in the world between 1 May 2008 and 30 April 2010
    yellow-bullet.gif be authored by someone other than a current member of Warwick staff, a current student, an honorary professor, an emeritus professor or reader
    yellow-bullet.gif be written in English (though it could be a translation from another language)
    yellow-bullet.gif be written by an author who is still living

     

    The Warwick Prize for Writing is awarded for:

    "an international cross-disciplinary award, worth £50,000, which will be given every two years for an excellent and substantial piece of writing in the English language, in any genre or form, on a theme that will change with every award."
