Warwick International Security Initiative

The Warwick International Security Initiative (WISI) will bring together existing activity and expertise from across all faculties of the university in the area of securities studies.
 

This is a project funded by the University to undertake the initial scoping for a new research initiative and possibly a new research centre focussed on International Security. It is a multidisciplinary initiative bringing together researchers from across campus to address research questions in this area. Current research themes include:

Institute of Advanced Study Visiting Fellowship

On March 2nd from 5-6.30pm, Professor Vivien A Schmidt (IAS visiting fellow in March 2010) will give a lecture as part of the annual Warwick/Review of International Political Economy (RIPE) debate, entitled 'The Fall, Rise, Fall and Rise of the State within Modern Capitalism - and how to explain it'. Warwick and NTU Launch a Double Masters Degree Programme

The NTU-Warwick Double Masters Degree Programme is a joint initiative from the Department of Politics and International Studies (PAIS), at the University of Warwick and the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) at NTU in Singapore. The new degree programme was launched at a conference in Singapore, co-organised by the RSIS Centre for Non-Traditional Security and the Warwick International Security Initiative (WISI) at the University of Warwick.
