Triple-drug for lymphatic filariasis

Mike Irvine (who has recently left SBIDER for the delights of Vancouver) and Deirdre, together with collegues at Eramus (Netherlands) Notre Dame (USA) and the Vector Control Research Centre, Puducherry, India, have shown that 3 different models with varying assumptions about transmission all indicate that the new triple-drug therapy for lymphatic filariasis is likely to be highly effective. This study shows how this new regime has the potential to accelerate the elimination of lymphatic filariasis
