Resources

On this page we have gathered all the resources to help a review group through thesystematic review process.

Please note that other support is available, as outlined here.

Some general guidelines on writing up are available and you are welcome to discuss the issues related to writing up a systemic review with Marilyn. Following peer review BEME reviews are published in Medical Teacher and as individual BEME Guides. All reviews appear in full on the BEME website with a Spotlight (a short paper with the review’s key messages) and links to other resources related to the review topic. Sessions at the AMEE annual conference are set aside for reviewers to present and discuss completed reviews.

The following pdfs are available for download:

  • Conducting a BEME systematic review.

  • Systematic searching for evidence in medical education

Part 1: Sources of information

Part 2: Constructing searches

  • Appendix IIIA Prototype BEME coding sheet (6 pages)
