Institute of Clinical Leadership
The Institute of Clinical Leadership was established to equip clinicians with the knowledge and skills to contribute effectively to management and leadership roles as a component of holistic health system delivery. Our intention is to make available a range of development activities that can be accessed by all health care professionals at any appropriate career stage (junior to most senior), in a uni or multi professional setting and in various contexts (primary care to tertiary).
In addition to our continued training commitments the Institute undertakes research and consultancy projects in order to ensure that our activites are evidence-based whether in terms of management and leadership models or in terms of the value added by engaging clinicians in the direction of health services. We organise management and leadership training at every level, within the University the West Midlands, Nationally and Internationally. We have experience in integrating leadership competencies into Undergraduate and Postgraduate curricula. We work with the NHS in all sectors running bespoke courses in conjunction with a large number of expert associates.
