WMS teaching fellow receives recognition for teaching excellence

fagan3.jpgCongratulations to Gay Fagan, Principal Teaching Fellow at WMS, who received a WATE (Warwick Award for Teaching Excellence) commendee award in a ceremony on 12 January.

Gay's primary role within WMS is to ensure that the many complex and multifaceted assessments within the MB ChB programme are robust and fair. This involves the training and supporting of staff within the School and local NHS Trusts to deliver high quality formative and summative assessments to drive both the teaching and learning, and maintain appropriate standards for patient safety.

Gay is an exceptional educationalist and has made a significant contribution to the enhancement of assessment practices in the Medical School, helping to ensure that graduates are competent and safe clinicians, able to enter the profession following graduation.
