The 2nd Midland Unicompartmental Knee Users Meeting was held at Scarman House, Warwick University on 27th June 2007. The meeting was aimed at surgeons experienced in unicompartmental knee replacement and was a resounding success. It was greatly appreciated by the delegates and faculty alike who enjoyed the high quality presentations and discussions. The meeting ended with a few drinks and a natter at the bar followed by a sumptous dinner.

I would like to thank the faculty for taking the time to travel from various parts of the country and share their knowledge with us, and the delegates for attending and enthusiastically taking part in the disucussions. It was generally felt that this meeting should be held again and perhaps include patellofemoral replacement in the topics for discussion.

I would like to thank Biomet for sponsoring the meeting and Elaine Blair for a first class organisation of the event. The response from the delegates and faculty was very positive. We hope to hold this meeting every two years and perhaps invite surgeons from outside the region.
