The Warwick Programme of Specialist Training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery is a key part of our teaching and training portfolio. Working with the West Midlands Deanery and a group of enthusiastic hospitals and consultants, we are able to provide a superb training experience.

There is a strong emphasis on partnership between trainees and consultants to achieve our three objectives of clinical excellence, educational innovation, and academic distinction. All of our trainees will complete Specialist Training of course, but we expect more. The organisation of the Warwick Programme means that graduates will be credible sub-specialists and have additional qualifications, typically a higher degree in research or medical education, or an MBA.

Trainees on the Warwick Programme have the advantage of working in a very rapidly developing, hugely exciting environment, including a brand new teaching hospital and a very dynamic medical school.
