Expression of interest


The Hippocrates Prize for Poetry and Medicine was founded in 2009.

In the initial two years of the awards, there have been over 3000 entries from more than 30 countries, from internationally recognized poets to interested members of the public, patients and health professionals.

The 2010 International Symposium on Poetry and Medicine and Hippocrates Awards, and subsequent interest in the 7th May 2011 Symposium, have revealed great interest among the UK and international academic community in research perspectives on the multiple themes we are now exploring through these conferences.
