Study Aim

The AIR study is aiming to determine the feasibility of conducting a full randomised controlled trial to assess the difference in the Manchester-Oxford Foot and Ankle Questionnaire at six months after injury between adults with an ankle fracture treated with functional bracing and exercises versus standard plaster cast care.

All patients, over the age of 16, attending University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust are potentially eligible to take part.

This study is funded by the National Institute for Health Research - Research For Patient Benefit Programme.
