Emergency Care and Rehabilitation

WMSEmergency Care

Emergency and Critical Care

Aims

ambulanceThe modernisation of the National Health Service has seen major changes in the way services are delivered in Emergency, Critical and Prehospital care. New ways of working and new technologies have led to improvements in patient care.

Delivering the best care depends on understanding what is the best treatment, disseminating this through guidelines and informatics advances, understanding the best methods of delivery, and how this can be achieved reliably and consistently in a self improving system. It is important that these changes are supported by evidence to ensure optimal care and appropriate utilisation of resources.
