Medical Aspects of Fitness to Drive Study

Principal Investigator:  Dr Carol Hawley

This government-funded study examined the attitudes of health-professionals toward giving advice on fitness to drive to patients with various medical conditions, including:

  • Stroke
  • Visual disorders (for example: visual field defects, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration)
  • Diabetes
  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Drug and Alcohol misuse

  • Epilepsy

  • Other conditions
