Project Summary:
This literature review is designed to evaluate evidence for interventions aimed at reducing any of the components that contribute to waiting times and/or reductions in attendance at Accident & Emergency (A&E) departments. Innovations that have demonstrated significant reductions in waiting times and/or reductions in attendance at A&E will form the basis of case studies which will be available to policy makers and health and social care providers to inform organisational change.

Results have already been presented at several meetings including the 2004 International Conference of Emergency Medicine in Cairns
