Funding Matters - How can Warwick & Coventry Primary Care Research support you in developing research in Primary Care?

    Research Grants & Awards Scheme

If you’re a practitioner with previous research training and/or experience, you may be interested in the funding opportunities provided by WC-PCR. The Research Grants and Awards Scheme is open to primary and community care practitioners employed by the NHS in the West Midlands South. The scheme aims to develop new researchers in primary care and is designed to be as flexible as possible to meet the varied needs and interests of practitioners. It is anticipated that the scheme will not only benefit individuals, but also existing research teams and PCT’s by providing research experience for people who might otherwise not participate in research.

Awards are made according to academic merit and the relevance of the proposed research activity. In general, priority is given to proposed work (i) which supports NHS R&D priorities and Needs (ii) that is likely to attract new research funding into the region and (iii) that relates to the research interests of WC- PCR academics.
