The application of technology to support learning and teaching.
BACKGROUND
Project Officer, e-learning and web development, Masters programmes and CPD, Institute of Clinical Education, Warwick Medical School. In this role Cath is responsible for the development of web-based resources and embedding the use of associated ICT tools in teaching and learning. In addition to project
management and support for e-learning and web development the Project Officer also provides support for users at all levels in building the skills, knowledge and confidence required to use available technology to best advantage. Teaching staff are encouraged to take a pedagogic outlook on the technologies, social and collaborative tools available.
Projects past and present include collaborative developments in partnership with other University departments, a UK wide project exploring the tangible benefits of e-learning and support for a postgraduate programme developed in partnership with the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). This experience is backed up by a postgraduate level award in e-learning, certificate in advice & guidance and PRINCE2 project management methodology foundation certificate.
