BACKGROUND

Mr. Hutchinson started his dental training in 1986 at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1991. Following this he worked at several District General and Dental Hospitals within the UK, gaining experience in all the various specialities of dentistry. In 1994 he obtained his Fellowship of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

After a year in general practice he commenced his specialist orthodontic training at Bristol Dental Hospital and, after three years, qualified with an M.Orth from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and, a MSc from the University of Bristol(1999).

Over the years Mr. Hutchinson has had several articles published in the dental journals and is currently a partner of Straight & White.

He is registered with the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Orthodontics and is a committee member of the British Lingual Orthodontic Society as well as member of the British Orthodontic Society, British Dental Association and the Association of Facial Aesthetics.

Mr Hutchinson is also an Associate Fellow for the Postgraduate Education Department of Warwick University. This teaching post means he has trained numerous dentists to Masters Degree level in Orthodontics. This teaching position ensures he is up-to-date with the latest developments and techniques. Mr. Hutchinson also teaches lingual orthodontics independently to Warwick University. He runs courses throughout the UK and Europe and is often invited by National societies and manufacturers to give presentations at their conferences.
