    RESEARCH PROFILE


    Prodromal psychosis, delusion formation, early detection services, onset of psychosis, functional neuroimaging, psychopathology, philosophy (philosophy of cognitive neuroscience, phenomenology, psychiatry), interventions in cannabis misuse, virtual reality and psychiatry, neuropsychiatry. autism and adult mental illness,


    BACKGROUND


    Matthew trained at the University of Birmingham and worked at the University Hospitals as a House Officer and Senior House Officer before moving to the Maudsley and Institute of Psychiatry. He took up his current post in November 2006.

    Courses Taught

    • MBChB
        Together with colleagues, I am part of the psychiatry teaching at the medical school. Specifically, together with Dr Nandhra, I run the psychopharmacology module and also am responsbile for the simulator patients used in in FPE/IPE and for the Clinical Skills lab we use in the course.
