Warwick Medical School are pleased to invite you to participate in a workshop on improving handover in Emergency Care, funded as part of a National Institute for Health Research project. The workshop aims to provide a platform for practitioners with an interest in handover and researchers to share experiences and ideas for improving the quality of handover in Emergency Care and reducing the risk to patients.
The workshop will include a presentation on organisational barriers to high-quality handover by Prof Matthew Cooke, National Clinical Director for Urgent and Emergency Care. There will be a number of break-out sessions dedicated to the identification and discussion of promising interventions to which participants are encouraged to contribute actively and freely. A University of Warwick certificate of attendance can be issued for your portfolios.
Please confirm your participation by email to Sallyann Edwards (sallyann.edwards@warwick.ac.uk) before June 29th. The workshop is free of charge, and lunch will be provided. For further information please contact Prof Cooke (m.w.cooke@warwick.ac.uk).
