Research Interests

Yen-Fu has over 15 years of experience in undertaking systematic reviews (including health technology assessments) and health services research. His current research interests include evidence synthesis methodology, publication bias in health services research, mapping and synthesis of different types of evidence and across different disciplines and settings, and development and evaluation of interventions for improving the quality of health care.

Biography

Yen-Fu studied pharmacy at the National Taiwan University before coming to the UK for postgraduate training in biopharmacy at King's College London and then public health and health services research at the University of Nottingham. From 2002 he worked as a Systematic Reviewer and Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham for nearly 12 years and undertook systematic reviews and health technology assessments for many regional and national organisations including the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) on a wide range of topics covering pharmaceuticals, interventional procedures and public health. He joined the Warwick Centre for Applied Health Research & Delivery (W-CAHRD) in 2014 where he is closely involved research into improving health in urban slums. He has also become a member of the Warwick Evidence since 2019 and undertakes technology assessments for NICE and other related research. He is currently an associate editor for the journal Systematic Review.
