Professional and Career Development Loan
In addition to any scholarships and bursaries you might receive whilst undertaking your postgraduate study, you may wish to consider a Professional and Career Development Loan to support you. Professional and Career Development loans are bank loans which can be used to help pay for work related learning.
UK students can borrow between £300 and £10,000 to help support the cost of up to two years of learning (or three years if it includes one year's relevant unpaid practical work). The government will pay the interest on the loan while you are studying and for one month afterwards.
The loan can be used to pay for course fees or other costs such as travel and living expenses. You can also use the loan to supplement any other support such as grants and bursaries.
The Professional and Career Development Loan is a commercial loan product and should only be considered once all other student funding options, such as scholarship and bursary awards, have been investigated.
For further information on Professional and Career Development Loans, visit the Gov.uk website or telephone the National Careers Advice Service on 0800 100 900.
The University of Warwick learning provider registration number is 2967, however the University needs to check, sign and stamp the form before submission to a bank. Completed forms should be sent to Joanna Bell, Head of Student Finance, Senate House, University of Warwick, Coventry, CV4 7AL.
